WENN weasled its way into the Lohan family’s Long Island lair this afternoon to grab a top secret chat with the world’s most famous showbiz mum, Dina Lohan.
We were actually invited to the launch of the matriarch’s new shoe range — but we DID manage to get some juicy Lindsay gossip.
Dina blasted her ex-husband for talking about Lindsay’s alleged prescription drug addiction in public, telling us, “If you’ve ever lived a day in the life of my daughter you would probably cry. It hurts and it’s sad that one of her parent goes on television and talks about her personal life – it’s personal. She’s doing fine I don’t talk personally about my daughter. Whatever Lindsay’s issues are, they are family issues. If she stumbles, she falls she gets up. The press has really been silly they need to leave her alone. We were all 23 once.”
And she accuses the media of waging a vendetta against the whole Lohan family. Slamming critics of Linday’s recent fashion line, she says:
“Lindsay called me after the Ungaro show crying happy tears then the press tore her apart… The show was great. The press is just not very nice to us. She’s just a little girl. God gave her a gift and she’s just trying to create. Enjoy her movies, enjoy her fashion, just leave her alone.”
And how are they going to combat this? Two new Lohan-authorised ‘anti-gossip’ websites!
