Lindsay Lohan and Lady Gaga collaborating in the studio?

Don’t bet on it, but producer Rodney Jerkins, who’s going to be out of work if he keeps coming up with ideas like this, says he’d like the two to work together.

“I can pair them up,” says Jerkins, who recently collaborated on Gaga’s “Telephone” with Beyoncé. “I would love it. I would love to see what could happen.”

While it sounds like convincing the Lost writers to collaborate with the total hacks who bring you Heroes, Jerkins thinks this would be a can’t miss project.

He also thinks Lohan can be the next big thing in music. We were thinking that she can be the next big thing in 5150 holds at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

“If she stays focused, she has what it takes,” Jerkins said, seemingly seriously. “I’ve talked to her, and I said, ‘You’ve got what it takes. I believe in you.’”

“I’ve seen people question actresses who have wanted to become pop stars, and they don’t have it. I believe she has it, something deep down.”

“I think there’s something there. It just needs to be pulled out.”

The only thing pulled out when it comes to Lohan is … forget it.

Basically, don’t hold your breath for this duet. Lady Gaga’s Grammy performance showed what a dynamic performer she is. Lohan? Not in her league.

She’s always up for a swanky shindig, and last night (February 1) Mischa Barton was in the house for the Cristian Lay collection launch.

The “Beautiful Life” babe looked lovely as she threw down some poses for the Madrid, Spain paparazzi, sporting a black top and skirt with studded heels.

Showing her playful side, Mischa also flirted a bit with designer Cristian Lay as the shutterbugs snapped up pictures.

Coming up on March 3rd, Mischa will be appearing in a brand new episode of “Law & Order: SVU” on NBC.

To do so, Anna Nicole Smith’s baby daddy will need to bring his young child on to a radio show and then act as if he’s doing it just to see a pal.

That’s what Kourtney Kardashian actually did yesterday, lugging newborn Mason Dash Disick to the studio for Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show.

“How cute is baby Mason?!” Seacreast asked, happily playing the role of enabler to one of the stars of a series he producers. “Is baby ready to feed? He’s looking for your breast.”

Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian accompanied their exploitive sisiter to the show, as Kourtney wrote on her blog: “I take Mason everywhere with me. We had to stop in and surprise Ryan!”

Of course they did. The show is televised, after all. Can little Mason say photo op?!?

Olivia Wilde (upcoming Tron Legacy) is in negotiations to star opposite Daniel Craig in the graphic novel adaptation Cowboys & Aliens, to be directed by Jon Favreau for DreamWorks.

Based on the Platinum Studios title written by Fred Van Lente and Andrew Foley, the sci-fi Western explores what would happen if the traditional Old West enemies — cowboys and Native Americans — found the prairie attacked by aliens in mid-1800s Arizona.

Wilde will play a character named Ella who joins up with the mysterious gunslinger (Craig).

Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are producing and wrote the script with “Lost” co-creator Damon Lindelof. Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard and Brian Grazer are also producing along with Scott Mitchell Rosenberg. Favreau and Denis Stewart are serving as executive producers.

SHE may be gearing up to launch her first bag collection with French luxury label Longchamp – following eight seasons as the face of its collection - but Kate Moss hasn’t got her sights set on footwear design any time soon.

“Not shoes, I’ll leave that to the professional craftsmen,” Moss revealed. And even if she did design shoes, she admits her ubiquitous flats would be the trickiest. “I wouldn’t do a sneaker - I would do a ballet pump. I bought sneakers thinking they would be good for working out in Ibiza, and I looked down and thought ‘That’s not my foot!’”

The supermodel’s new range features zebra print totes, shoulder bags and slouchy styles in colourful leather – all artfully modelled by Moss in the advertising images. The collection will be launched in London next week, following last week’s Paris unveiling – and bags will be priced from €500.

“As a woman with a lot of handbags, they have got to have a bit of flair, not too ‘Lady’, with a bit of an edge,” Moss told the International Herald Tribune of what makes a good bag, before revealing of her seven-year-old daughter: “Lila’s got her ideas too – she’s got really good taste. She wants to do her own collection!”

Beleaguered actor Rip Torn is headed to rehab.

The 78-year-old Emmy winner was arrested Friday night in Salisbury, Conn., for allegedly breaking into a bank with a loaded gun while under the influence.

Police say busted Torn, who has faced multiple DUIs in the past. He posted $100,000 bond on Monday and headed straight to a Manhattan clinic to dry out.

He faces charges of trespassing, possession of a firearm without a permit, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, criminal mischief and burglary for the stunt.

Rip Torn needs to cool it with the boozing.

He did not enter a plea. Torn is due back in court February 17. His lawyer says it was all a misunderstanding. A heat-packing, belligerent misunderstanding.

“Obviously, he wasn’t intending to commit a crime,” Torn’s attorney told the Hartford Courant, saying  Torn was so drunk, he thought he was in his home.

We’ve been there, actually. Well, sans loaded firearm. In any case, here’s hoping Torn gets help, as he’s been taking over our celebrity mug shots gallery.

Prosecutors are ready to charge Dr. Conrad Murray with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson and the case could be filed as early as this week.

Jackson’s embattled personal physician is very close to being charged following another top level meeting in the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office last Friday.

Law enforcement sources called it “a big meeting.”

Why is that significant? Because without everyone in agreement on what charges to file against Dr. Conrad Murray and what evidence to present, it won’t happen.

Conrad Murray is the lone suspect in MJ’s June 25 death.

But it looks like we’re nearing that point, and involuntary manslaughter charges will be filed. It’s just a matter of when, not if, according to sources close to the case.

The deputy D.A. assigned to the case, David Walgren, has all the LAPD’s notes, and the D.A. could charge Murray even without having the case formally presented.

That could happen as early as this week.

The King of Pop’s death was sad and brought to light a lot of unpleasant information, but one thing’s for sure: Sunday’s Grammy tribute would’ve made him proud.

Looking to be having quite the relaxing day, Demi Lovato was spotted out shopping at The Grove shopping center in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon (February 1).
